Today is a slow day for me. I don’t have much to write, but I will like to point out, if anyone is interested, that there are about 500 new laws that went into effect for the State of Louisiana yesterday. Also, while we are hurting in so many different areas of our state i.e. education, money, what have you, they still had enough time to say that the pirogue is now officially Louisiana’s state boat. You can read more at: http://www.wafb.com/story/19159766/more-than-500-new-laws-take-effect-wednesday The new laws can be found here: Louisiana Legislature's website
Another thing that is happening here is the Chick-Fil-A stir. Yesterday, in West Monroe, LA, there was a big Tea Party Rally outside both of the Chick-Fil-A’s that are approximately a block from each other. The traffic on I-20 almost caused me and a lot of others to get into a wreck, therefore, thank you Tea Party for showing your support, however causing fellow Louisianan’s to be potentially hurt or even killed in a car wreck would be all to your great efforts of showing your support. There are better ways of showing your support that wouldn’t get innocent people into a wreck and such.
Finally, not much else is really going on in the state except my mother advised me yesterday that there is someone she knows, whom is a Veteran, which helps homeless Veterans here in North Louisiana. She told me to be watching the news because he will be speaking about a lot of homeless Veterans who live under a bridge in Shreveport, LA, that are awaiting help from the VA, which is taking their precious time. I know it takes forever because I am also waiting for them to work with me and I just received my paperwork yesterday to get everything finished for my VA claim. I was told the only thing slower than the VA are the corpses rotting in the cemetery grounds, which now I believe to be true since it’s been almost a year since I filed.
That is all I have for now and I shall post something either again later today or early tomorrow. Thanks for reading.
