Today I’m hitting a touchy subject on breastfeeding in public. We have so many things that go on in this country that are hurting us economically and this one subject has gained more publicity than anything that has to deal with bettering our nation. So, I decided to point out what I believe and what the media puts in the news.
Breastfeeding in public has been around since before anyone of us reading this was born. It is as natural as nature can be, yet people will frown upon it. There is no shame in seeing a woman breastfeed her baby for nourishment. People should be ashamed of harassing such cases.
My first reason is the fact when most people go to Mardi Gras, women expose their breasts for beads, yet nobody will protest against that. That is degrading at it’s finest just to get a set of beads, but it’s not ok to breastfeed a hungry baby?
Next you have women who walk around with their breasts practically hanging out of their shirts, yet nobody protests that. I think it is disrespectful to “flaunt your stuff” when it actually looks nasty a lot of times. It is another form of degrading yourself, but nobody will speak out against that.
And what about guys walking with their pants hanging down past their waist or the girls who wear shorts that let their vagina hang out? Is that not disrespectful? Why is it only a handful of people will say something to them, yet a crowd will attack a woman who is breastfeeding their baby? Has our country grown that ignorant of what is deemed appropriate and what is considered disrespectful?
I guess it’s ok to look like a “thug” in public because nobody will dare discriminate against that. I guess it’s ok that our youth is exposed to media that is biased to what they consider right and wrong. And I assume it’s ok that our youth will become sheep of a dying nation rather than stand as a revolutionary against these stories that attract the majority of the people.
This is why our country is in the shape it is in. We as a nation have no regard for true nature and people wonder why we are totally being discriminated against throughout the world. Gays get to kiss in public and yet I’m supposed to tell my children that it’s ok even when I don’t agree with it? No! I refuse to teach my children to go against nature. Nature is the most beautiful thing out there and many who live in this nation strive to destroy it. And they wonder why we have so many problems when nature unleashes its fury.
I know I may sound like a modern day hippy, but I do believe in following the rules of nature. You treat it accordingly and everything will run smoothly. Treat it with disrespect, you will become an object of it’s fury.
